Community management software that keeps its own books

OurRidge is an operations and accounting platform for HOAs, condominiums, and housing co-ops, with a resident portal attached. It is built for the board that has to explain the numbers, not just collect the dues.

Why it exists

Most association software is a payment portal with a message board bolted on, or accounting software that assumes a professional manager will operate it. Small self-managed boards fall between the two: they hold real reserves, approve a real budget, and answer to an auditor, but the tools available to them treat the books as an afterthought.

OurRidge puts the ledger first. Assessments, payments, and expenses post to a real chart of accounts, and the statements a board argues over are produced from that ledger rather than assembled afterwards.

How it is built

  • One database per community, so a community's books are its own and can be exported or moved.
  • Resident access comes from ownership or tenancy records, not a separate portal account to keep in sync.
  • Different community types — HOA, condominium, co-op — differ in their chart of accounts and calculations, not in a shared least-common-denominator model.

Where it is going

The product is in an early pilot phase. If your board is willing to run its books in a system that is still being finished, we would rather hear from you than from a customer who expected something else.
